Here are a few pictures of where I work at. I am loving the new job down here, but been busy as all get out. Just got done working 7 days straight with 2 of those being 24 hour shifts. I will try to start putting more posts up on here for a while. Actually forgot a had a blog there for a while! Hope everybody is doing well back home, cant wait till I get back there in a couple months! More pictures to come!

Well it finally happened... I moved from Alaska! Just got down into Astoria, OR today and started unpacking. Living with a friend that was on the Acushnet a while back. Super nice house! I will take some pictures and post them soon!

Hello

Well lets see, what is new?? Still in Ketchikan untill April 16th, then its off to good ol Bellingham Washington for a couple months. I will probably transfer from there to air station Astoria (fingers crossed) The weather is slightly getting better up here, at least a little bit warmer. It does however seem to be raining ALL the time. There have been some nice days, we try to get out and play some paintball or horse shoes on those days. I just found my camera again, forgot I left it in my float coat here on the boat. So hopefully tomorrow I will find some time to put up a few new pictures! Hope all is well back in Indiana. Look for some pictures on here tomorrow!

Back to Ketchikan! But I got duty the first day!

Well we finally made it back to ketchikan, the sun is out shining bright, the weather is warm, it is down right beautiful out... But I have duty, cant leave the boat till tomorrow morning, it's torture!!! Anyways, here are a couple photos of patrol. Enjoy!

So I know it had been a long time since the last post. It is even a new year. I think the reason is because everything up here is becomming normal. When I first got here Alaska was new and exciting and adventurous. Now Alaska is cold, dark, and rainy. I will admit though Alaska is beautiful and I will never regret comming up here for a tour. I think when I get to a new post I will then again have that new place feeling and there will be many more blog posts! But for now here is this one, the underway internet is really slow, so I hope these pictures load! Next stop is Juneau in a week! We have been underway for so long, we are rationing food even! We got extended because another cutter broke down, and we were going to get a port call, but the weather didnt allow for it. A few more days though and we will get to Juneau, and then back to Ketchikan on the 22nd!
